I first heard the original of this on TOTP or MTV or something similar as a young fella back in 1988 and was instantly hooked on the tribal African instruments and singing in a language I didn’t understand.
1995 rolled along and the re-release with remixes by Hardfloor was filling dancefloors all over with its djembe drums, cowbells, 303 acid squelch, rising build-up and the signature Hardfloor snare roll crescendo. Absolutely love this tune.
