I picked up a compilation called Flux Trax in the mid 90s - Volume 1 was rammed full of choices from a techno connaisseur, like Acperience, Didgeridoo, Energy Flash and Positive Education. Meanwhile, volume 2 some months later was more about progressive house, such as Circus Bells, Kinetic and this, Vernon’s Wonderland.
The 12” vinyl features a techno mix by Ralf Hindelbeutel (The Future) and an ambient / classical mix (The Past), the latter being quite the opposite to the better known hands-in-the-air original mix, emphasising the tune’s classical elements such as the clarinets, trumpets and violins.
I absolutely love this tune, it’s so rad. Trumpets, violins and clarinets FTW!
